Somethings to bear in mind

The draw is now live and the schedule for the first weekend can be accessed via the link http://lta.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/tournament.aspx?id=975084F3-55BB-4E39-B40A-1CD337C2EDE2Phil has also emailed out this link to all competitiors. If you have not received his e mail, please let Phil know phil.marsh35@hotmail.com so he can check he has the correct e mail for you.
We have a great total of 97 players taking part, including 18 (both senior and Invited Juniors) playing for the first time, so welcome to those.  (It must be the best supported club tournament in the county if not further afield !!). If your partner is new to the tournament, it is suggested that you check with them they know they have a match - it can seem slightly confusing at first and each year someone misses a match time !
Our Tournament director will not always be at the club due to work commitments (yes, all this is voluntary !!) but we hope to have someone on hand (Thanks Theo and others !) throughout to ensure all matches get onto court etc. Please make sure that all results are recorded at the end of all matches.
A reminder that we don’t have permission for floodlights beyond 9.30pm. We don’t want to jeopardize this so if a match looks like it will run on much after that time you may be asked to finish at, for example, one set all.
As always we are providing a full catering service throughout the fortnight. At weekends, we are introducing a new salad bowl option (3 salads and choice of meat/cheese) in response to requests.

Menus are as below
Saturday/Sunday from 12 noon – bacon/salad cobs, salad bowls, filled rolls, cakes, tea/coffee and bar
Monday  : Moroccan Tagine (new chef, Michelin starred Mr A Brown)
Tuesday :  Secretary’s Chilli and jacket potatoes
Wednesday : Ali C’s lasagne, garlic bread & salad
Thursday : Louise’s Meat balls
Saturday – as first weekend
Sunday - clubhouse opening buffet 12 noon. Usual weekend menu from 1pm
Monday – Vice Chair’s Curry
Tuesday –  Jayne S’s speciality pie and veg/potatoes
Wednesday -TBC
Thursday - TBC
Finals weekend - bacon/sausage baps, salad bowls, cakes etc
We always aim to make 15 portions of each evening meal but when it's gone, it's gone, I'm afraid ! We always try to fit in with timings requested but please bear with us if the kitchen is very busy and there is a slight delay.
Louise has nearly finalised the catering rota. Bar rotas will be out later in the week if you are a bar helper. Sometimes a bar/kitchen helper will be playing in a match and so self-service may be needed.
A reminder (especially to newer members) that all family and friends are welcome to come to the tournament and watch/support at any time. As seen from the above, food always available and the bar is usually open throughout.
